    Enabling's relationship with Armtec Defense Technologies began in 2014, with a Lync project. Enabling came to the rescue, said Muscarella. “They assessed our situation, looked at our design, made some strong recommendations that would best fit our network model, and provided a great foundation. Enabling has been by our side the whole time through this migration process.”

    Enabling Came to the Rescue

    After leading Microsoft Unified Communications projects for several other defense contractors, Enabling had first-hand experience with the unique constraints and requirements of the industry. In addition, Enabling’s experience with hundreds of other Microsoft voice projects gave Armtec the knowledge of what it takes to successfully roll out at scale.   

    “Enabling came alongside us, embraced our MPLS architecture, and found ways for us to maximize our availability for our remote sites,” explained Muscarella. “In the event our main site went down, we would still be able to function using the SBAs provided by AudioCodes.”   

    Since then, Enabling has been in lockstep with Armtec on their digital transformation. “When we started preparing for an upgrade to Skype for Business 2015,” said Muscarella, “Enabling helped give us a migration plan, essentially providing a stepping stone as we move towards the Office 365 environment and a soon to be migration to Microsoft Teams.” 

    Next Step Migrating to Exchange 2016 - then on to Exchange Online

    Enabling also helped with another technology steppingstone, Exchange. “As we were moving forward to our goal of being in Office 365, Enabling helped us upgrade Exchange 2010 to 2016. They've helped us along the way to meet every goal we have.”

    Final Step Enabling's Managed Services

    Enabling's managed services team has been an important resource along the way. “Enabling’s support and managed services have been beneficial to our organization help meet our metrics. We usually call Enabling support to help us manage our Microsoft atmosphere. Enabling has helped us identify an issue, find the root cause, and help us get situations resolved as quickly as possible.”
